Briefing

In this book the double-sided relationship between space and politics is explored by documenting and comparing the plenary halls of the parliaments of all 193 United Nations member states.

Proposal

The book documents the plenary halls of parliament in the same style and scale. It provides key data and the assembly hall's location in the larger parliament building. Organized as a lexicon, it allows a comparison of all parliaments in the world.

Contribution

The book is a relevant contribution to the current discussion about democracy. The clear and neutral design makes the content easily approachable.

Production

The book is bound with a wide linen spine to fall open easily. It is published with three different covers, three different typographical settings of the title Parliament. They are printed in silkscreen, black and UV varnish on a mat, rough dust jacket paper.
