Spatial Design

Santander Innovation Offices

BICG / Santander

Briefing

2x4 was asked for a graphic program that would cover the new incubator offices of Santander. The client wanted an atmosphere that would encourage cooperation, symbolize technology, and embrace a new startup mentality within its corporate culture.

Proposal

Rather than mimic current symbols of technology, we proposed using an app icon template to create a regenerative visual language. This was applied at various scales to create privacy/camouflage screens, indicate transitions, or to create murals.

Contribution

Hidden within the Santander Headquarters, our graphic program animates what once were somber bank offices to a livelier work place of exchange.

Production

Before production, design prototypes were created to test scale and materiality. For the final production, we closely monitored the construction to ensure the intent/quality of design remained. Final materials: Paint, Vinyl, Ideapaint and Carpet.
