Graphic research project confronting 19th-century Romantic painting with contemporary digital iconography to address visual overstimulation, symbolic saturation, and the mass circulation of images. The project explores the shift from a singular artistic canon to a global ecosystem of signs, questioning how meaning operates within today’s hyper-visual culture.

Proposta

“Hyper Icon” is an interactive digital tool that transforms contemporary iconography into generative graphic material. Through drawing and writing modes built from globally recognizable icons, users create maximalist compositions based on repetition, overlap, and accumulation. The resulting visual landscapes expose and amplify the excess of signs shaping contemporary culture.
