Ñaño
Briefing
Development of a modular display typeface with complete weight variations and a physical or digital application. The brief allowed full conceptual freedom, encouraging the exploration of cultural reinterpretation through typographic form. The project focused on constructing a coherent system capable of articulating narrative, structure, and visual identity through type design.
Proposta
ÑAÑO reinterprets pre-Hispanic pattern systems as a structural typographic logic rather than ornament. Historical tracing methods inform modular construction, rhythm, and counterform development. The family includes four weights with italics and three stylistic sets, each derived from distinct geometric principles, generating alternative systems of form, movement, and visual cadence.
Aportació
Transforms cultural heritage into a structural typographic system that activates history through contemporary graphic design.
