Briefing

Starting from a short walk through the Carabanchel neighborhood, the project required selecting a small local business as the basis for developing a graphic research installation. Rather than documenting it literally, the aim was to isolate a meaningful element, detach it from its original context, and expand it conceptually through formal and critical reinterpretation.

Proposta

The project investigates ‘the handle’ through three lenses: formal (yellow), examining shape, materiality, and context; poetic (green), constructing imagined scenarios; and grammatical (blue), analyzing its definition and morphology. This layered approach reframes the object beyond function, enabling new readings, symbolic shifts, and alternative uses through a graphic installation.

Aportació

Reveals the semantic and communicative potential of a banal object through systematic graphic reinterpretation.

Producció

Development of an interactive exhibition inviting visitors to pull and engage physically with the object. The project included identity design, poster, wall texts, catalogue, and applied graphics. Production direction integrated CNC-milled boards and discarded handles, transforming everyday elements into a coherent spatial and graphic installation system.
